To submit claims to Change Healthcare successfully, a number of areas in your Zencare Practice Management account need to have correct and accurate information on file. The information that you put into your Zencare Practice Management account should match the information registered to your NPI or practice’s NPI. Having accurate and up to date information on file for yourself and your Zencare Practice Management account is the best way to ensure the claims you submit will get reimbursed.

To get started, go to Settings > Practice Details and click into the Insurance tab. Here you will find detailed information on what is required to use Zencare Practice Management’s insurance features at your practice. Under the Claims section you will see a list of everything that needs to be set up within your Zencare Practice Management account to successfully submit claims:

Go through your account to ensure that all of the following areas of setup have been completed:

  • Client Coverages: you can add client coverages once your account has been registered with Change Healthcare for submissions.
  • Practice NPI Number: you can add this in Settings > Practice Details > Basics and this can be the same as your personal NPI number if you don't have one for the business entity of your practice. You can also add a practice level Taxonomy code here

  • Practice Tax ID: you can add this in Settings > Payment Details. You can use your SSN or EIN number for your Tax ID

  • Therapist NPI Number: you can add this in Therapists > Edit Profile. You should add the NPI number for each therapist at your practice on their individual profiles

  • Therapist Taxonomy Code: you can add this in Therapists > Edit Profile. You should add the Taxonomy code for each therapist at your practice on their individual profiles

  • Therapist Address: you can add this in Therapists > Edit Profile. You should add the Address for each therapist at your practice on their individual profiles

  • Therapist License Number: you can add this in Therapists > Edit Profile. You should add a licence number for each therapist at your practice on their individual profiles

  • Client Diagnosis: you can add this by opening a Client Profile and going to Contact & Clinical > Clinical Details > Edit and searching to assign the relevant diagnosis. You can add as many diagnostic codes to a client profile as you need. Only the codes that you add to the client’s profile can be referenced on healthcare claims
