If you've been using Change Healthcare for insurance processes within the Zencare Practice Management application and are ready to transition to Zencare Practice Management’s new integrated insurance feature, follow these steps for a smooth switch: 

Step 1: Log in and Access Settings: Start by logging into your Zencare Practice Management account. Navigate to the Settings tab from the main navigation. 

Step 2: Check Your Subscription: Ensure you are subscribed to the Zencare Practice Management Premium plan. The new insurance feature is exclusively available in Zencare Practice Management Premium. If you're currently on the Pro plan, you'll need to upgrade to Zencare Practice Management Premium to access these enhanced capabilities. 

Step 3: Set Up Your New Insurance Profile: Navigate to 'Practice Details' within Settings and select the 'Insurance' tab. Here, you'll find an option to toggle between your previous Change Healthcare settings (under 'Current') and the new Zencare Practice Management Premium insurance feature setup (under 'Set-up'). 

 

Step 4: Enroll with Payers: Follow the steps outlined in our FAQ article to enroll with payers through the new insurance feature. Once enrolled, your Change Healthcare settings will be deactivated, but previous claims within client profiles will remain visible. 

Step 5: Check Payer Enrollment Status: After submitting your payer enrollment requests, monitor your status by navigating to Settings ➡️ Practice Details ➡️ Insurance ➡️ Payor Lookup & Enrollments ➡️ click 'Lookup Payors'. You'll also receive an email notification once your enrollment is active.

 

 

Step 6: Viewing and Submitting Claims: Once payer enrollment is active, begin submitting claims through the new insurance feature. Refer to our FAQ article for detailed instructions on claim submission. 

Step 7: Viewing Legacy Client Coverage & Claims: For a limited time, you can toggle to view legacy client coverage and claims that were managed through Change Healthcare. Simply navigate to a client's profile, access the insurance tab, and use the toggle at the top left to switch between 'Active' and 'Legacy' information.

Note: Once you enroll with the new insurance feature, you can no longer manage legacy claims and client coverage through your Change Healthcare setup. For a limited time, however, we will allow you to toggle view legacy client coverage and legacy claims, however we cannot guarantee the Change Healthcare integration accuracy.
